She is such a delight and being a parent is the most awesome thing.<br />
<br />
I had a lot of time in the few days that preceded her birth, and this is what was made.<br />
<br />
A friend of mine made a tree for her son that was stuck on the wall with leaves that came under the shelf for him to look at when being changed. I made her a few bees to add and promised myself I'd make something similar when I had a child. So Grace has flowers, leaves and bees. I really like it =)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQnlffh8Gs-PFKHlk_EdpxNsFb-Y9K02slk9QmYuK2bNEd_1AH5gLsu9jS0TjtAoO1i5gpdVQrsJGiyRWWVl6uM9yYhEhMv4Y88Xm4dDM7Wvzg5TlT7qEGi8kEBLwJHd0jndkfYP0DKgI/s1600/IMG_8958+(1).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQnlffh8Gs-PFKHlk_EdpxNsFb-Y9K02slk9QmYuK2bNEd_1AH5gLsu9jS0TjtAoO1i5gpdVQrsJGiyRWWVl6uM9yYhEhMv4Y88Xm4dDM7Wvzg5TlT7qEGi8kEBLwJHd0jndkfYP0DKgI/s320/IMG_8958+(1).jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Then - I decided to add a little detail to two of her little vests. I used my Silhouette cutter to create the template and then ironed the rhinestones on. The 'Angel' was a template downloaded from the Silhouette website and 'Grace' was made from scratch. It was so much fun and I'm considering making them to order. will keep you posted.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoqLKaNm8Sv3Mcqj0uO_c4-GivHNqW1gsWMPTHAJxSG1fQW55pqmPovHZx3vVGGCNOqztku1jwyhyEmN3ORqN07NpJN3Cbhq5QEgJvx1eT-SjtfEXLDCG_GIDv8NoxaSO4A1i77pBUbc0/s1600/IMG_8961+(1).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoqLKaNm8Sv3Mcqj0uO_c4-GivHNqW1gsWMPTHAJxSG1fQW55pqmPovHZx3vVGGCNOqztku1jwyhyEmN3ORqN07NpJN3Cbhq5QEgJvx1eT-SjtfEXLDCG_GIDv8NoxaSO4A1i77pBUbc0/s320/IMG_8961+(1).jpg" width="214" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_-1ZHKEl9ZLC0GgdM6FvXcwuY1IIjYGIfqubuQRILlj7FknZPbuO6jSf6WlfssuPBK9vvr_ou7BtZEaDFoYMrGWaYrdiTuzMARb1gxEbNG7UrPbHQRgn1sbTsWCR7EQKRZI3HXRPRrFw/s1600/IMG_8960+(1).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_-1ZHKEl9ZLC0GgdM6FvXcwuY1IIjYGIfqubuQRILlj7FknZPbuO6jSf6WlfssuPBK9vvr_ou7BtZEaDFoYMrGWaYrdiTuzMARb1gxEbNG7UrPbHQRgn1sbTsWCR7EQKRZI3HXRPRrFw/s320/IMG_8960+(1).jpg" width="214" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

I always love giving hand created goodies rather than shop-bought ones... not that I don't like receiving the latter =)<br />
<br />
My last project was for a friend of mine, Gezell, who is expecting twin girls. she has named them Gabriella and Isabella. She recently told me that she was looking for lettering for the walls of her nursery but apart from the price of them, she couldn't find ones that she liked. She has decided to use "Issey" and "Gabby" for short so I created her some out of cardboard and Royal Coat's <i>Dimensional Magic</i>. I LOVE this product.<br />

Creating I know that it's been an absolute age since I last blogged. Being pregnant has consumed so much of my energy (literally) but at least I have still made time to be creative!<br />
<br />
So here are my latest projects. As you can see they are for Grace's room. Little things that I knew I wanted to make for her and refused to buy =).<br />
<br />
A Bird Mobile<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglZx7K58Mis8mF3rOhVMt2rcrD1EG8jl8gfgo1ELBJHuOXx505oPtGz22PDPKV9s3R3WmD8DEHXLmAFWsq3XmkLy93Xe_eOYVrhpyUNloKLhG3npKM7LcZEyo9npYczutl_oVbcar8OiE/s1600/A++0007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglZx7K58Mis8mF3rOhVMt2rcrD1EG8jl8gfgo1ELBJHuOXx505oPtGz22PDPKV9s3R3WmD8DEHXLmAFWsq3XmkLy93Xe_eOYVrhpyUNloKLhG3npKM7LcZEyo9npYczutl_oVbcar8OiE/s200/A++0007.jpg" width="150" /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: none; color: black;"></span></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxfAbAzb1Q4PtM58MKc5swM3cweSZ45JHOnnLvUCwP0mT2GeK1gBedLMtPn4x1RdF_GkJEYhL3yd3TdhNxMVA2q0amStPeB5QF31xatm3gV-ZyQICGTFRnb0MbrW4PkL7q4o8fM8kbLgo/s1600/A++0000.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxfAbAzb1Q4PtM58MKc5swM3cweSZ45JHOnnLvUCwP0mT2GeK1gBedLMtPn4x1RdF_GkJEYhL3yd3TdhNxMVA2q0amStPeB5QF31xatm3gV-ZyQICGTFRnb0MbrW4PkL7q4o8fM8kbLgo/s200/A++0000.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I wish that I could say that I came up with the pattern all on my own, but I can't. I had the idea and tried to make one from how I thought it should be, but then found this one at <a href="http://quillcottage.blogspot.com/2009/12/i-know-that-christmas-is-upon-us-and.html">Quill Cottage</a> and just had to use it!!<br />
<br />
Granny Squares Blanket<br />
This project took me forever but it was fun to do. I used 100% pure bamboo wool which is heavy and soft. I considered making it bigger so that I could use it for myself, but too much love and time went into it. I am sure that Grace will love it.<br />
<br />

I am starting to feel a little more relaxed about the gift fairs and the stock that I've managed to make. I'll only know at the end of the day, whether I've made enough or not. So until then... I'll keep at it!<br />

Gins and I are doing two this year - but luckily there are three weeks between them. The first one is at the beginning of October in Durbanville: "CY Market". The second is the "Constantia Gift Fair" which is taking place over the last week in October.<br /><br />I've literally been spending every last second I have making things... and yet, it seems as though I'll be going empty handed... well, not quite, but close! I'm still working full days, so the evenings are all I've had. Not for long!<br /><br />I have resigned from my job! My one job at least. So, from the beginning of October, I will be working from home. I am so excited! I'm going to be doing all Eden Photography's editing nad design work from home which will give me time to do the other things that I love - making stationery and other useful things, cooking, gardening, and hopefully joining Geoff in re-upholstering old furniture (*wink*). I've also been toying with so many other ideas, like opening a coffee shop, but we'll see...<br /><br />I'll be posting up pictures of cards that I've been making soon... and maybe some notebooks.<br /><br />Til later...<br /><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden"><div id="refHTML"></div><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden"><div id="refHTML"></div>T'Neal Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08238683817021046592noreply@blogger.com0
